While attending DrupalCon 2012 in Denver last week, select members of our team were able to participate in a number of industry-significant events and sessions. Among them was the following keynote presentation from Luke Wroblewski, which makes a smart (and timely) case for mobile design. More to the point, Luke's speech points to a strategy of "mobile first" that we'll hopefully see implemented worldwide in the near future.

It wasn't simply that we had more to talk about than before; we wanted to more intentionally demonstrate the effectiveness of this [almost] free tool for us and our customers who might be in the same boat.

August Ash recently re-launched our website with a responsive mobile web design theme. This means that, regardless of the display size our site is viewed on, it will scale well and look “just right.”

It should come as little surprise that more sales each year, especially during the holiday shopping season, are taking place online. But the extent of that trend remains newsworthy, bolstered by statistics that show strong increases in ecommerce purchases.

The final sales numbers from 2010 made it official: mobile devices now play a bigger role than ever before when it comes to how people view your website. The evidence shows that smartphones have surpassed PCs in sales, but the need for mobile-friendly sites goes back long before this recent report.
