August Ash, Inc. Launches Know the Truth Website
An organization with a one of a kind approach to increasing awareness of substance use among students needs an effective way to spread their message. After closely working with the Know the Truth staff to create a site that is easy to update and that speaks to their target audience, August Ash, Inc. launched a new website design for Know the Truth this month.
Know the Truth is a free of charge drug and alcohol prevention program of Minnesota Teen Challenge that educates students, parents, and the community about substance abuse and its consequences. Services include face to face presentations and discussions, internet discussion forums, and teaching resources. During the 2006/2007 school year, the program conducted over 23,000 presentations in metro area schools and organizations. The new site design accommodates these ever-changing events and resources with a content management system. After a brief training session with August Ash, Know the Truth employees can quickly add presentation dates, resources, and notices to their new site design from their own office, keeping the community informed about their work.
Know the Truth employees, all young adults who’ve struggled with and overcome addictions, relate to students on a unique level by sharing their experiences. The new design communicates this position with modern imagery and up to date information that targets young adults.
